The public, choosing to see only one gangster movie that
month, flocked to Goodfellas and virtually ignored the other
film.
Pelecanos
My film group and I had a screening of a noir film every
saturday for about three months at the University of West
Florida. Although we saw many good films, MILLER'S CROSSING
was the only one we immediately wanted to see again. I'm not
surprised that "the public" didn't take to it as well as
GODDFELLAS. MILLER'S is much more a thinking persons film.
That probably sounds a little elitist but . . . oh
well.
