The note about MacKinlay Kantor reminded me of this.
For any Rara-Avians in the Sarasota, Fl. area or planning to
visit, the county's historical archives department has an
exhibit featuring Kantor and John D. MacDonald. It runs until
Jan. 31.
Both spent a substantial portion of their lives in Sarasota.
The Kantor family donated many of his possessions to the
county, including his study, which is recreated for the
exhibit.
