============================ Starting off November a day early, I've had the enviable opportunity to read FLASHFIRE - and it's a *terrific* addition to the Parker legacy. In fact, it's a welcome harkening back to the Parker of old - the true hardboiled, ruthless, cold anti-hero...and stands up to the very best of the series.
============================

This is welcome news indeed. Not only is the Parker series one of the most readable ever written, it's one of the most re-readable, and that's the highest praise I can bestow.

====================================================================== The Stark "Parker" series is bar none my favorite series of the genre
======================================================================

Mine too. It's amazing that "Stark" was able to do such a good job of picking up the series again after almost a quarter of a century. BUTCHER'S MOON would have been a fine swan song, but it sure is nice when the swan turns out to be a phoenix.
