Well, the new guy on the block is Ace Atkins with CROSSROAD BLUES. And older book that's pretty good is BLUES FOR THE PRINCE by the now forgotten Bart Spicer, though the blues in that book and the blues in Atkins' novel are two different strains. Don't know of one from the 'thirties.
