Hi
I've just subscribed to rara-avis and want to
introduce myself. My name is Chris Routledge, I live in
England, and I have a longstanding interest in hardboiled
fiction, particularly from the 1940s and 1950s. A couple of
years ago I finished a PhD on Chandler at Newcastle
University, and have published a couple of academic articles
on the great man. Because of the academic job market I'm no
longer working in academe, but am just beginning to make a
living as a freelance writer/editor. I'm looking forward to
joining in the discussion on rara-avis.
