I think you did a damn fine job of summing up Ross Thomas's
appeal. It is his voice that makes the difference, makes him
more fun than some writers whose books may technically be
better.
I always got a kick out of one running thread of Thomas's.
Many of his books feature a character's theory about the
Kennedy assassination. I've often thought about going through
the books and collecting them all.
