I think with Aarons a lot depends on the copyright date? I've
been pleased with the Durrells from about 1965 back, but the
post '65 ones look untrustworthy to me.
The first few books in the Durrell series (Assignment to
Disaster, Assignment: Treason, and Assignments Budapest,
Helene, Stella Marni, and Burma Girl come to mind) are
enjoyable tough-guy spy adventures, worth reading if you not
expecting too much from 'em.
