Okay, I found the citation, it was a Mike Shayne novel,
Murder Is My Business by Brett Halliday, a 1945 Dell
mapback.
I also found a 1994 anthology edited by Mickey Spillane and
Max Allan Collins, Murder Is My Business: Stories of Killers
for Hire.
Finally, Henry Kane inverted the title for his 1954 My
Business Is Murder.
