I asked this same question last year. The few Howard stories I've read in anthologies are superb, and I mean superb. I am looking forward to reading the new Crippen & Landru collection. Does it have the story about the horn player? That one haunted me for a while.

See, not to disobey our captain's stricts orders to vacate, but Howard is not at all a pulp writer. He's way too classy.
