After a few problems with R-A mail box, I hope this message will go through---

Just to mention that on cable TV I saw this week a rather good film we could qualify as "B Noir": NO ALIBI

It's a Canadian film (1999) I think, director: Bruce Pittman main actors: Dean Cain and Eric Roberts. Good story, even if rather traditional, very good photography for this class of film.

The only drawback were the main actors. Even if their performance is "honorable" they did not extract all the possibilities from their characters. With some better acting this film could have hit a high level of achievement. But still definitely worth to watch.

And best of all: no "Tarentinesque" attempt to be unnecessarily offbeat or to be a self-parody. And no explosions!! A real treat.
