RARA-AVIS: Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai

Just got back from seeing this terrific film. It fits all the definitions of hardboiled we've had lately -- realistic depiction, lone hero, code of honor, etc. Very rich in depth. Contemplative, then explosive. Some extremely funny moments too. Re: the music thread, Ghost Dog has a soundtrack from THE RZA, sort of hip-hop fusion -- strikingly modern in contrast to the "ancient cultures" of the samurai and the Mafia. Good stuff, go see it.
