Sort of taking a break from the genre right now -- actually,
I've been reading James Jones's THIN RED LINE. But I'm still
buying, and I got these two at the local Goodwill:
TONY ROME/MIAMI MAYHEM by Marvin Albert. This is the movie
tie-in version -- boasts a cool picture of an exceptionally
lazy-looking Sinatra and a bitchy Jill St. John. Any comments
about the series? And how's the movie?
DOLLS ARE DEADLY by Brett Halliday. A Mike Shayne mystery.
Weren't many of these ghosted? Was this one? In general, what
are the good Shayne books? I've read another one of these,
though I'll be damned if I can remember the title. I remember
I thought it good, but not exceptional. Any I should stay
away from?
