I too liked The Limey quite a bit (one of my favorites last
year). Two points: (1) Its length coincides with a lot of
what has been said about Gold Medals. The film is something
like 87 minutes long--tight, taut, etc. Like novels, too many
movies are getting too long, I think. (2) "Get Carter." The
Limey seems to have a lot of affinity with this book/movie.
London criminal travels to investigate a family member killed
in an auto accident. By the way, I just read Ted Lewis' "Jack
Carter's Law." It's no "Get Carter," but it's still pretty
good.
