I'm an Albert fan, too. He did some entertaining Gold Medal p.i. novels as "Nick Quarry," which I think is a great name. (Those he did as Tony Rome were from Dell, I believe.) Some of the Al Conroy books in the "Soldato" series from Lancer were actually written by Gil Brewer, but I can't remember which ones.
