I know that I didn't include him either, but in any event, I
find it interesting that I haven't seen any nominations of
Cornell Woolrich. I would tend to agree that he's nor
hard-boiled, but I would certainly categorize his as noir.
Very decadent, and as depraved as Thompson or Willeford in a
gothic sort of way. For whatever reason, he has always
reminded me of H.P. Lovecraft, perhaps for the unnecessary
floridness of his writing. He doesn't grab me like Thompson
or Willeford, but a fine, fine noir writer in his own
right.
