While we're on the subject of influences - and since the
Hammett-Kurosawa-Walter Hill connection has been brought up -
it's interesting to note that LAST MAN STANDING is not the
first time Hill
"cribbed" from Kurosawa. The premise of 48 HOURS - a
policeman hunting down his stolen gun - is lifted from
Kurosawa's STRAY DOG.
