Here's the first review to the recent independent feature
based on Charles Willeford's "The Woman Chaser":

It's interesting that it apparently is a spoof, yet it also
seems to be a pretty close adaptation of the novel. The
reviewer even remarks that the film "strives desperately for
a zaniness that is largely absent from the screenplay." Which
makes me question if it was at all intended to be a spoof,
but that the end result just appears that way..
