Michael Ching wondered:
What other HB/noirs have been set in carnivals

One I have read is Richard Stark's(Westlake) __Slayground__. Parker takes shelter in an amusement park after an armored car robbery has gone very badly. The park is the setting for virtually the whole book as he has to escape and secure his take from local criminals and crooked police who have him trapped. He returns to the park in a later book of the series. Mark Blumenthal
