I also read Solomon's Vineyard the first time as The Fifth
Grave, in its US Mercury edition. I enjoyed it, but to say
that it was choppy is an understatement. When I read the full
Solomon's Vineyard years later I realized just how sloppily,
and brutally, it had been cut. And I realized what a classic
it was.
