Fritz Lang's "The Big Heat" (1953) is based on McGivern's
book of the same name. The film is quite good and Lee Marvin
in the leading bad guy role is very good. I think Robert Wise
made a film based on "Odds" (and it should be 1959), but I'm
not sure.
