being one Joseph Hilton Smyth. Don't know if that piece of
information solves the mystery or not. I've certainly never
heard of Smyth. Anyone know of him?"
Joseph Hilton Smyth is also the author of a series of spy
novels featuring Bart Gould, President's Agent, published in
the mid-1960s. The first book in the series has the name
"Joseph Milton" on the cover. The rest (at least the ones I
own) have the name "Joseph Hilton" on the cover. I also have
a movie novelization (BEYOND MOMBASSA) by Joseph Hilton,
who's supposedly the same guy.
