Thanks, Jiro, for the note about Crippen & landru's
forthcoming Clark Howard book, but the title will be slightly
different: CHALLENGE THE WIDOW MAKER AND OTHERS--due Spring
(or so) next year.
Other hardboiled and/or noir fiction scheduled--Ed Gorman's
FAMOUS BLUE RAINCOAT: MYSTERY STORIES is in proof now;
Michael Collins's FORTUNE'S FORTUNES, to be published about
the same time as the Howard book; Joe Gores's STAKEOUT ON
PAGE STREET AND OTHER DKA FILE STORIES, toward the middle of
2000; and Max Allan Collins's KISSES OF DEATH late next
year.
