C'mon, Lehrer *noir*? Naaah, his songs were much too sprightly. Dark
humor and brilliant sarcastic style do not *noir* make. Even the "Irish
Ballad" doesn't make the pessimistic cut of darkness needed for *noir*.
But don't get me started. I can quote most of Lehrer by heart...
