Isaac Hayes' Theme from SHAFT is a particularly seamless blend of sound
with vision, capturing the feel of the subject matter, in terms the
characters themselves would understand. For all the emotional weight
carried by jazz in a lot of hardboiled and noir films, I don't see many of
the characters actually listening to it.

Can you dig it?
