You can't copyright a title, copyright doesn't extend there.
Now, you
can trademark, like Clive Cussler has done with Dirk, but
titles are
fair game. And it seems that there are some by the same
names. I recall
a rather more well-known author who had a book come out at
the same time
as Deannie Francis Mills with the same titles.
