Years ago, I read Holden's first book, The River Sorrow, and
was pretty
impressed. It was the story of a disgraced, ex-junkie doctor
who moves
to a small town to try to start over. Needless to say, trouble
finds
him there. I don't know why I never picked up his next book.
Maybe this
will remind me to do so.
