RARA-AVIS: Wrong again

Bill Crider (abc@wt.net)
Tue, 11 May 1999 20:59:43 -0500 (CDT) I was wrong about LAZARUS #7 being reprinted as half of an Ace Double. The
reprint is of PASSING STRANGE. I do know that LAZARUS #7 is the only
mystery novel I've ever read to use leprosy as a plot device. PASSING
STRANGE is half of Ace Double D23, by the way, and since I was climbing up
on the desk to look for that one, I checked out my other Sale paperbacks. I
have DEATH AT SEA (Popular Libary 163), FOR THE PRESIDENT'S EYES ONLY
(Bantam T7335, and highly recommended if you like outrageous spy novels),
HOME IS THE HANGMAN (Popular Library 205), MURDER AT MIDNIGHT (Popular
Library 275), and NOT TOO NARROW, NOT TOO DEEP (Popular Library 247). I'm
not at all sure that any of these are hardboiled.
