But look at the bright side: the line-up includes bona-fide hardboiled
writers - very good ones - such as Harold Adams and Bill Pronzini. In
general, the Shamus has accorded hardboiled literature much more
importance than the Edgar.

Now the question: Would Walter Mosley's Easy Rawlins qualify as a P.I.?
