Actually, the Shamus Awards given out by PWA are for the best novel with an
investigator who does not work for the government and gets paid to
investigate. That is the PWA definition of a P. I. The Steinberg book
DEATH IN A CITY OF MYSTICS is about an National Public Radio reporter from
San Diego. I have just started reading the book today, but there is no P.
I. is I would define it.
