this and found that the series character I am referring to is Gary Greer
from >>Sal the Dude<<. It appears this was a limited series dealing with
Greer's pursuit of his father's killer, a man known as Sal the Dude. Haven't
found the read yet, but the same friend, Phil, who referred me to Donald
Wandrei which led to more bookcases told me this. Too bad Phil isn't
interested in going online with this group, he seems to have a wealth of
information.
