May I suggest James Sallis's _The Long-Legged Fly_ as a
future reading?
This book should resonate with rara-avians. I would also like
to suggest
George Pelecanos's _The Big Blowdown_, an ambitious novel
which I read a
few months ago. It impressed me very favorably, both in style
and
content.
