My fave. His Mortal Causes is the best, underground Edinburgh. I've read
comments from Brit friends that some of his writing is "indecipherable"
in that he calls coppers "wooly" somethings and that they are set in
Glasgow which is only understood by Glaswigins. But the best!! I always
seem to forget that he never was and is not a copper, but an academic
who can make me forget.
