Anyone looking for a different hardboiled writer should try
Ian Rankin. The
setting is Scotland, the hero is John Rebus, the genre seems
to be police
procedural. But it is, in reality, truly tough crime fiction,
anything but
tame or gentle or Scottish as we perceive it! I tried Black
and Blue and am
hooked and ordering as many as I can trough Amazon.
