Jump shot to parallel investigations, with dribs and drabs of
clues and
information that one detective is looking for popping up in
the other's
searches for something else entirely. A really clever way of
letting the
*reader* in on the straight dingus while the *dicks* still
haven't got a
clue.
Am I flyin, or does this novel replay a lot of the character
situations
from _LA Confidential_, the movie? I haven't got my hands on
that novel
yet, but there's a lot of very close parallels here between
_Nowhere_
and that film, including the inbred sex triangle (quadrangle)
with the
killer babe.
Just a few thoughts while y'all are coasting between
readings...
