I'm in agreement with Jeff. "LaBrava" is also one of my two
or three
Dutch favorites. However, I'm surprised that nobody has
mentioned one of
his greatest books -- "Swag." It's without a doubt, the "best
novel ever
written about armed robbery." (Ellroy quote. And I assure
you, he read
this one.)
