RARA-AVIS: Dewey Death

Mon, 8 Mar 1999 16:28:38 -0600 (CST) Ted White asks whatever happened to Thomas B. Dewey and Ed Lacy. Both are
dead. Mystery writer Barbara Burnett Smith, who writes the kind of books
never mentioned on this list, was at one time Dewey's daughter-in-law.
She's always amazed to discover that people remember his books, and she'd be
thrilled with the kind mentions he's received on the list. (As an aside, I
believe he also wrote at least one non-series book under the great pen-name
of Cord Wainer for Gold Medal.)
