I have read three-fourths of an ARC of ROSS MACDONALD (Scribner) by Tom
Nolan and still reading this 490-page book. This is the first
comprehensive biography with a lot of private anecdotes about Kenneth
Millar as well as about Margaret Millar. Very long but very readable. As
fascinating as Macdonald novels. Nolan says it took him about 10 years to
research and write it, and you can see that. I strongly recommend it.
