I think it was Mike Nevins (not Avallone) who coined the
"Nooniverse."
Anyone who'd like to know more about Avallone without actually
reading one
of his books should certainly look up Nevins's entry on Avo in
TWENTIETH
CENTURY CRIME AND MYSTERY WRITERS.
