I assumed you were referring to my calling Slim "the man."
However, I
used your remark as a jumping off point for a possible
discussion about
contemporary "G-dom." After all, how much do we need to beat
old Ray
Chandler into the ground?
As for Tosh's intro -- I assumed he was just getting into
"the spirit"
of Slim, conveying Slim's persona and capturing some of the
tenor of his
material. (Very well, too.)
Not protesting too much, I hope. Can't say I find Slim too
much of a
role model. But certainly amusing and impressive to read
...
