I read The Double and think that Bill's description of his short stories
works for the novel as well. The reviews were mixed in the the journals
I use to select material. It certainly isn't a traditional mystery. I
did think there was a bit too much male fantasy sex stuff going on - but
the book does have a certain quirky and fantastical bent. It reminded
me a just a bit of William Browning Spencer's latest book Irrational
Fears (more lovecraftian). I think I like Irrational Fears a little
better over all, but it is categorized as fantasy.
