RARA-AVIS: Teleplay of "I'll Be Waiting"

Wed, 16 Dec 1998 22:25:40 -0600 (CST) Since the subject came up of exactly how many died in the original, thought some
might be interested in C. Gaby Mitchell's recasting of the conclusion of
the story in the Showtime "Fallen Angels" series.

Turns out Al was the original partner of Johnny Ralls, so "Trouble Boy"
asks Tony to come to the limo where both bodies are lying. Al had given
the boys 25, they suspected he had the other 25 thou, but decided to
reunite the two to "see who blinked first." Killed each other, and when
Tony tries to take Al's body with him, they object and he shoots TB and the
driver with a gun he lifts (I think) from Johnny's body. End scene with
Tony in lobby armchair, Eve sleeping, and dead brother on the other sofa,
"waiting forever for morning."

How's that for upping the body count? Sort of macbre last scene though.
Don't see a future for Eve and Tony here.
