RARA-AVIS: American Psycho

Fred Willard (fwillard@bellsouth.net)
Sat, 7 Nov 1998 23:10:29 -0500 I actually rather liked American Psycho. I took it was a very funny book.
I'm not sure if that reaction was what was intended or not, or if it
suggests that I'm a psycho too, but I was laughing through a lot of it.

I particularly was amused by the sections evaluating consumer
goods sandwiched between the mayhem.

I had the same reaction to much of Resevoir Dogs. I though parts of
it were wildly funny.

I'm going to be in Greenville, S.C. tomorrow (Sunday) for a signing
with 35 writers, primarily crime fiction writers. It's at a Barnes and
Noble. Don't know who the others will be.

Please warn the citizens of that fair city to hide all the sharp
implements during the middle of the day while I'm there.
