<<Last week I broke down and bought a scanner. I spent the weekend
crazily scanning my paperback and pulp collection and posting some of my
favorites to the free web space offered by Tripod. I invite anyone
who's interested to visit
http://members.tripod.com/~whosiskid/paperbacks/ and
http://members.tripod.com/~whosiskid/pulps/ and take whatever you want.
All I ask is you give me a credit if you use any of my images. Thanks,
and happy hunting!

And this is from an old post by Eddie Duggan, with further information:
<<James Stephenson's site is well-worth a visit. Another website worth a look is the Paperback Cover Art Illustration Display at <http://www.ils.unc.edu/rarebooks/illustrators.html>
I've yet to see a copy of the new _Pulp Culture_ (the cheapest I've seen it is at Barnes & Noble, at $27.96 with $5.95 shipping to the UK). [Incidentally, the same title is used by Woody Haupt, in a study of hardboiled fiction and the cold war, published by Serpent's Tail.]
On the subject of pulp images, Geoffrey O'Brien's _Hardboiled America_ was recently re-issued in an expanded edition by Da Capo Press. My thoughts on this tome can be found at <http://www.ejmd.mcmail.com/obrien.htm>>>
