I've been lurking for a couple of months now, but Alison's
comments on
contemporary HB made me jump in.
1. I'd be grateful for any recommendations for contemporary
HB novels. I'll be
going to Washington, D.C., in November, taking along an
almost empty suitcase,
intent on buying as many books as I can shlep home.
(English-language books
here cost about 40% more than in the US) and
2. I've been meaning to ask you about your take on
contemporary HB male
protagonists: Is there a believable 90's version? What's the
main difference
to the classic heroes? Just curious...
