She was on a panel at Bouchercon; was very late and everyone
bowed down
like the Queen Mum had arrived. I have read [make that
attempted to
read] a couple of her things, but I couldn't get into them. She
stressed
she was a novelist not a "genre" writer and I couldn't get into
her
speech on her panel either. I guess that's why I like -simple-
stories
and the Vidocq panel was the best.
