"Best Of" lists can be fun to do up, and are useful for
newcomers who aren't sure what to read first. If people send
me, or
post to the list, their top ten hardboiled novels or
story
collections, I'll sort them all out and find the ten most
listed.
Suggested format:
The Noose Swung Slowly, C. Bricks Allagash
Two Slugs in a Dead Man, Phineas Hardscrabble
Etc.
Put the top favourite at the top. You can leave out numbers
and
think of it partly as a ranking but also as just your top ten
you'd
recommend to someone else.
