RARA-AVIS: Arrest technique

Mark Sullivan (ANONYMEINC@webtv.net)
Mon, 28 Sep 1998 02:10:13 -0400 (EDT) I was fascinated by the regional differences in what police call
criminals. I had also assumed "perpetrators" was universal, not just
northeast US, due to its use on TV. Thanks for the nifty fact. (Do I
remember correctly, was it James Doherty who pointed this out?)

I was hoping someone could tell me the actuality of another TV cliche.
Do real cops put their hand on the heads of arrestees when putting their
hand-cuffed butts into police cars? Just curious.
