I bet not even Westlake himself remembers how many pen names he's
used...By the way, at the beginning of his career he caught the tail end
of the pulps. I've seen a few stories reprinted from that era, and he
collected the Levine stories in one delightful volume. What's
interesting is that he was as fine a writer in his extreme youth as he
is now. Amazing.

If you read enough Westlake, you get the complete course on how to write
anything.
