What do people complain about? That the author wrote a
mystery with
lesbians in it? Or that the book was not properly marked as
being
"different"? I am curious about this.
I vividly recall a showing of the restored silent film "Birth
of a
Nation", during which a sweet old lady was heard shouting out
loud :
"Well, I never thought I was going to be shown a RACIST
movie. It's a
disgrace!!". In that case, a warning definitely would have
helped her.
She obviously had no idea of the content of this famous
film.
