The libraries in Montgomery County, MD, have regular sales of
old and/or
contributed books (and records). It has been so successful that
they
have a year-round sale in the basement of one library (Wheaton
Library
for enyone in the area). They recently opened another location
at the
nearby mall Wheaton Plaza. So they must be doing okay.
